I've recently built a new machine and plugged in the beautiful MSI gtx980ti, overclocked my 5820k to 4.3Ghz and went on to play GTAV. I was very disappointed to find out that this 6GB card cannot handle this game at all ULTRA + 8xMSAA, I get fps drops from 60 to 35 and am really not happy with it. I know I might be picky here, but I spent a ton of money on this card and would expect Tito handle everything for the next year at least. Please tell me guys if it's the card problem that it is weak for GTAV or it's a software (optimisation) problem?

GATAV needs about 6.5GBof VRAM for max settings, turn your MSAA down to X6

? what is you resolution ?

I've overclocked the card to run at 1430Mhz, too. My res is 1920x1080. In the city areas the fps is 60 constant, but once I see the grass, that's when the problems arrive.

Also, do you think it's worth to buy another gtx 980ti to run in sli?)) Just asking :)

Ah read about the grass and not to use it in ultra because it is loading the GPU up with to much processing just for grass, after all it is just grass & it is too long anyway ?

The GTXTitan 12GB is meant to be best

or

R9 295X2 2 gpu on 1 card.

I had GTAV on an R7 260 2GB of Vram but waste of time, so got a refund now saving for the R9 295X2 myself & see how it goes from there, my m/b wont do twin cards so not an expert their but if they act as on one a single tv monitor, then it is possible for you to have ultra for all setting at 1080p.

MSAAx8 is crazy hungry monster ..and i tested my self and found that SMAA is much better for quality than MSAA ...if your game has SMAA use it instead of TXAA or MSAA ..if it doesn't use MSAAx2 instead

atm my msaa is switch off due to cheap gpu card is it selectable by msaa by clicking left/right ?
