my dell alienware auroras NIVIDIA GTS 240 graphics card has gone out and I need a replacement graphics card the gts 240 worked perfectly fine for all my wow/lol/wildstar playing and im wondering if anyone can help me find a replacement that's cheap and has the same capabilities as the 240

my system information
Processor- intel core i7
System Chipset- intel X58 Express

Memory
connectors- 6 internally accessible DDR3 DIMM sockets
capacities- 1GB,2GB,and 4 GB
memory Types- DDR3 and DDR3-XMP

Expansion Bus-
PCI Express x1:
Connectors- 2
Connector size- 36 pin connectors
PCI Expressx16:
connectors- 2
connector size - 164 pin connectors

Power-Voltage 100-240V AC
Power supply - 525 Watts

( I wasn't sure what information was needed to answer my question so I posted all that I had) also note that the video card that stopped working was a GTS 240. Not a GT240

You'd be better off getting something a bit stronger, rather than trying to match it exactly. I mean, you could always try to get another GTS 240. But for any other card, you're better off going a bit stronger. The reason...

Not "about the same performance". The GTX 650 is more than 2x as powerful as the GTS 240.
Even the GT 640 is stronger than the GTS 240.

60 isn't bad I was just looking for anything that's equally efficient as my old card so I didn't have to pay a ton of money for a new one considering my old one played all my games perfectly fine for a long time I have no desire for a card that's better or faster

You'd be better off getting something a bit stronger, rather than trying to match it exactly. I mean, you could always try to get another GTS 240. But for any other card, you're better off going a bit stronger. The reason for this is because different models of graphics card are stronger and weaker in different things, with different software and different optimization. If you try to find a different GPU that performs the same, it'll still be a bit stronger in some things and a bit weaker in others.

If you want an exact match, your only option is another GTS 240.
Other than that, your safest options would be a GDDR5 GT 640, or an R7 240.
