NCIX has a sale on the 640mb right now (395$) but its still 100$ more.. is it worth stretching my budget for it?

Depends on the resolution of your monitor. Anything below 1280x1024, the 320 should be able to handle just as well as the 640.

Get the 640. I bought the 320 to save a few bucks and it runs great until it runs out of memory, then it hits a brick wall! When it pages textures it completely stops rendering.

only get the 640 version if you plan on playing games above 1600x. i have a evga 8800gts 320 running @ 667/1051 and i play bf2 at 1600x1200 max everything(aa&af) and my fps dont drop below 80, average is around 150.

I have a 22" Acer and it seems like the sweet spot is 1680 X 1050 I'm wondering if the 320 well handle this just fine? I have never tried to play games at the high of resolution. I was going with the cheaper card for now and get a better one next year? But I'm worried if this resolution is to high for the card?
