GTS250 fans full throttle!

hi all,
My GTS250 runs its fans veryyy loud until windows loads up. Is it a bad video card. Its apparently new ,sent by msi yesterday as replacement for another card.

I'm not quite sure. What card maker makes the card what model number is the card?

IF it stop when Windows loads(or is loaded) it's fine. It's probably only until the driver is loaded(which controls fan speed).

exactly.....very true...
every gfx card runs loud till the windows and the drivers are loaded....so no need to worry...

on the funny side, i too am a FAN of the gts250.....
i guess that makes it louder than usual.....haha

do your cards run a bit louder prior to windows load coz my friend has a 9600gt which runs silent.

Mine spins up before windows loads, but stops on the Windows Loading screen. And funny story, My friend had a BFG 9600GT that was the opposite, and with a tiny little fan it was obnoxious on start up.
