The gts is newer and a little fasterWhich one? Both seem to be the same. If I checked properly GTS has a 2010 architecture while GTX is 2008
Keep expectations limited, though. A modern entry-level card like the GT 1030 obliterates either.
Specs arę potato. 8gbram DDR2Yes, it's better. But if you have integrated graphics you may not need a gpu. Can you list your system specs?
Sadly its not telling me whether its better than 512mb or 1gb. Gpu benchmarks usually show GTS 450 1gb and I see only 512 versionAccording to this, the GTX 260 is better. You can use it as a rough guide, when comparing GPU's.

Sadly no benchmark will tell me anything about comparing gts 512 version. Usually they include 1gb only and I see only 512 atmAccording to this, the GTX 260 is better. You can use it as a rough guide, when comparing GPU's.

If you need a GPU for non-3D/GPGPU work, then it makes little to no difference, both will be nearly as fast as modern GPUs since acceleration for for the Windows desktop quit being a focal point 20+ years ago when even IGPs from back then were already fast enough for most office type work.Sadly no benchmark will tell me anything about comparing gts 512 version. Currently poland. As for the budget I dunno up to $125 I guess. I'm torn between crap and somewhat ok gpu. Once I watered my GTX1050 laptop and then desktop HD7770 I look for some kind of compromise. Or between 9600Gt and hd7700. Usually I play older games but even those (indie like Project Zomboid and 7 Days to Die) are so unoptimized I'd really need something better to keep up with at least 40-45fps and no stuttering every couple seconds. What is country, and budget?
Thx a lot though found r7 450 a bit cheaper. The only problem is there's no comparison on gpu benchmark website. Other though claim it's almost as good as gtx960Using google to convert to your currency, I think I may have stumbled upon something.

Bought yesterday GtX460 and tonight Gtx570 for about $40 in total. Can I do SLI or Crossfire with these?
Gpu dies? If that's relevant I still use Win7 64 Ultimate and play older games. Not even old drivers to do so? Yeah now I'm reading nvidia killed SLI a while ago. I just wonder if legacy drivers could helpNo you cannot. Crossfire is AMD, and Nvidia requires matching GPU dies to do it. Also, almost nothing supports multi GPU anyway.
