Gtx 10 series or wait for new..?

Solution
I agree, unless you have some pressing need for a card right now, waiting a few months or so might potentially get you more performance for your money. The 1180 is supposedly launching in July, and if they follow a release schedule similar to what they did for the 10 series, the 1170 might be expected to launch around August, and the 1160 around September.

And the prices of graphics cards are still recovering from a major price spike several months back due to a shortage. They're a lot better then they were then, but most graphics cards are still priced around $50 more than they were a year ago. The current prices for a 1060 3GB are around what a 6GB model should cost, and you should note that the 3GB version also has 10% fewer...
Depends on what you have and how badly you need replacement.
if current gpu is dead, then get one right now, if whatever you have still works, waiting a month or 2 will
1. (possibly) Yeld specs of 1160
2. get prices a bit lower as mining boom still keeps cards ~110% MSRP
3. few more $ to go to 1060 6 GB :)

As for the 1160, it's not yet known what the performance or pricing will be like, but it might not be surprising to see GTX 1070-like performance for around $300, about what the 1060 6GB currently costs.
