GTX 1050 Doesn't OC?

So i have a MSI GeForce GTX 1050 Gaming X 2GB Graphics card, but when i try to Overclock it with MSI Afterburner it just... Ignores afterburner, it stays at 1417MHz whatsoever. How do i fix this?

If I am not mistaken, the 1050 wasn't designed to be overclocked. It was designed with budget in mind. Unlike the 1050 Ti, however.

Could be mistaken though.

Due to their lack of a need for PCIE power , 1050's weren't designed for overclocking as they draw their all their needed power from the PCIE slot.

Most won't overclock very well.

That isn't true, the MSI variant has a dedicated 6-Pin power connector.
