Help!

I just did my first HTPC build. I have tested everything it works great when connected to my Samsung TV. I've moved it to my Epson projector and hooked it up to my receiver (Yamaha) via HDMI. I'm getting video but no audio. I have the latest driver for GTX 1050 and for the motherboard.

When I open "Sound" settings my card isn't listed as an option but it is when I open the Nvidia Control Panel and set up digital audio the projector is listed there.

Here's my build:
MSI B250 MB
MSI GeForce GTX 1050
Asus Xonar DSX Soundcard (only option showing up)
Windows 10

Thanks in advance.

Open up playback devices, there should a be a Nvidia High definition audio device that you can select and click on "set default".

If it doesnt show up there, have a look in device manager and see if there is any devices there with the ? icon, right click on it and update driver.

Also, double check you are plugging the HDMI directly into the 1050 ti, not the motherboard HDMI port.

Thanks for the reply - doesn't show up as an option. All of the Nvidia stuff is grayed out.

Nvida High Definition Audio Device is listed under "Sound, video and game controllers" with no conflicts running the most up to date driver.

I'm perplexed here....
