GTX 1050 ti in PCIe 2.0

Hey all,

Just wondering what the effects of using a GTX 1050 ti (PCIe 3.0) in a PCIe 2.0 slot. Will there be bottlenecks etc..

Nope it should work fine as its a low end card. The 1050ti wouldn't use up 8x PCI 3.0 so 16X on PCI 2.0 is fine.

Factually, even true for high end. A PCIe 2.0 x16 is perfectly adequate for a GTX 1080.
Here's some benchmarks of PCIe 3.0 at x8 and x16, the former has the same bandwidth as PCIe 2.0 at 16x.
