GTX 1050 TI or GTX 1060 3GB

So obviously based on speculation of the GTX 1050 TI specs. Which is more "bang for the buck" in this situation for 1080P gaming. I hear GTA 5 uses 3gb across the board for 1080P gaming which really kinda kills the 1060 imo. What do you think is the better buy? 1050 TI 4gb or 1060 3gb.

real world teesting and benchmarks are not out yet properly...but the 1060 even with 3gb ram is supposed to be a more powerful card and hence the $50 approx. price difference between them...

A well made RX470. As fast as GTX1060 3GB, but has 4GB ram. Now, regarding 1050TI- early 3Dmark scores show lower than expected speed- but hopefully it will overclock well.Then, it will still be probably 30% slower than $200 cards at 1080p Ultra, but should be plenty fast in 1080p on 'high', and a thus a good choice for a lot of people.

A 1060 even with 3gb is a GTX 970 equivalent, while the 1050ti looks to be a GTX 950 to 960 equivalent. I'd go so far as to say the 1050ti would be Nvidia's 'esports' budget card, slightly faster and more expensive than AMD's RX 460. In short, for 1080p gaming in games like GTA V there won't be any comparison between the 1050 and 1060.
