I am upgrading graphics cards and am deciding between the GTX 1050 ti and GTX 1060 because of their performance value and lower temperatures. I have an i7 3770 with 8gb Ram and usually play games such as watch dogs and will most likely be playing battlefield 1 in the future. I am currently using 768p, but may upgrade to 1080p. What is the more suitable graphics card?

You will want to get the GTX 1060, because it's a more powerful card, more CUDA cores, and just overall more compatible with more games. It will easily allow many games at max settings in 1080p. If you have around $250, the GTX 1060 6GB is a beast for such a small price. I use it to play Watch Dogs 2 on max settings in 1080p, and I sit around 60-70 FPS all throughout the game (I usually play for 2-3 hours at a time).

The 1050 Ti is also a beast, but it's a budget beast, if that makes sense. It can handle 1080p, but don't expect very high qualities.
