so i was thinking of buying a gtx 1050 ti, but i have an i3 4170, and now i have a gt 1030, and i don't know if it will change performance when i buy a better gpu than gt 1030 because i think the cpu will bottleneck the gpu
As i3-4170 has a great single core perfomance and im using it, i test BF1, and other games, its pretty much (Depending on settings) playable med-high (without FXAA or Antialiasing maxed) around 60FPS, GTA 5 is pretty much smooth experience.
I think even 1060 6GB would work without a problem.
I5 comes around 100-150$ which is quite cheap.
You will have to accept that your cpu is below the minimum recommended for many modern AAA games. In these games your performance will always be compromised regardless of what gpu you use. However let’s say your cpu allows you to average 30fps in a game, the 1050Ti will allow you to run much higher detail of resolution.

but would it be better than gt 1030 with i3 4170 or do i have to buy a newer cpu to make it work better with gtx 1050 ti
