My new EVGA GTx 1050 ti ssc ran out of the box at 1900 mhz boost clock(says PrecisionX) when it is rated 1480 mhz. I am new to this whole thing, but I'm just asking if this is normal(i don't think it is)

Solution
Yeah so GPU Boost 3.0 is a new feature of the 1000 series GPUs that does an auto overclock when it requires more power.
So I wouldn't worry about anything.
Well, my 1080 boosts itself up to 2025mhz thanks to GPU Boost 3.0, so your core may not be too unreal.
But it typically only does that during gameplay/benchmarking.
So is yours always running at 1900?
If you check your manuals, is there an "OC mode" switch you may have hit?

it does seema bit high though, so what does other software say?
