I just bought a new gtx 1050ti mini for my gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 board psu corsair v450. When connected to the gpu via hdmi cable there is no signal.
I booted the system using onbord vga with gpu still plugged in and found that the card is listed in device manager display section. Any help on identifying what is the issue. Trying clearing all display drivers and installing again

PS : The current system is 4yrs old :)

Try booting into your motherboard bios with onboard graphics. Look around for any 'secure boot' or possible 'legacy compatibilty' mode like 'csm'. It may be that your bios is blocking any attempt to change key system elements. You can temporarily disable this if this is the case, and reenable it after you're done.

I assume you plugged the pci-ex 6 pin into the card if it requires one, some models do.

My board doesn't have a secure boot option http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-2732083/secure-boot-option-bios.html. But I did check how it was booting and it was listed as legacy.

The zotac gtx 1050ti mini 4gb doesn't have extra power supply port. It is suppose to be runnig from just pci slot power (Hope I am right).

Tested with a pcie1 to pcie16 riser and tested the gpu the system booted properly and I am able to play games so it is infact that my pciex16 slot is gone and I need a new one .
