GTX 1050 Ti to VGA

I have bought GTX 1050ti 4gb and my monitor supports only vga .when i enquired to the seller he said that you can buy hdmi to vga converter which will help in running it without issue.is it correct choice to go with it .Thank YOu

If you can find a VGA to HDMI converter (it is usually a converter box), then the picture won't be that great from my experience with them.

You need an active HDMI, DVI-D or Displayport to VGA adapter. Those are your only options for running a VGA monitor from a 1050Ti.
