Hello,

Forgive if this is a silly question but could a system like the below which only has a 210w power supply running an i3 6100 4gb ram have a GTX 1050 ti slotted into its PCIE slot on the motherboard.

Just wondering as some of the reviews on the card seem to say it could be placed in any system with any power supply as it only has a 75w power draw.

Thanks
Rich

Actually you may not be able to. I know HP desktops with the designation of SFF do not support 75 watt GPU cards, only up to 35 watt I think. If I find documentation on the motherboard I will share it.

Ughh finally found confirmation. You cannot use a 75 watt GPU like the 1050 or 1050ti. You would think that this info would be in the 100 page maintenance manual.

Check at the bottom of the linked page for "expansion slots":

Here is the important bits:

Slot 1: Low Profile, PCIe 3.0 x16 (45w max)
Slot 2: Low Profile, PCIe 3.0 x1
Slot 3: Low Profile, PCIe 3.0 x16 (x4 elec, 45w max)
Slot 4: Low Profile, optional 32-bit PCI 2.3 (via M.2 to PCI adaptor)

upgrade to any 450/500w power supply, that is recommended.
though 400w may do also, but 400 -450W dont have that much difference in price
chose 80+ bronze at least or better
one cheap option is
EVGA W1 450W 80+ bronze - may be 36$

No you can't, no matter what power supply you put in it. As posted, the limits to that PCIe slot is 45 watts. A GTX1050 doesn't have an external power connector as it just uses 75 watts and PCIe is supposed to put out 75 watts. So unless that is a typo on the system documentation, you can't, not with that motherboard.
