Hello all,

I acquired a low-medium PC for free and now I'm upgrading some of its parts. My last upgrade will be the graphics card (GTX 1050 to RX 580). A few days ago, I checked the computability of the specs from this forum and it matches. So when I do the update, my system will be: AMD fx 8350 eight-core processor as CPU-AMD RX 580 as GPU-MSI 970 GAMING as motherboard-Corsair CX 750M as PSU. I know that my current GPU GTX 1050 2GB is not good for gaming and I game a lot. So when I asked what to upgrade, they told me to upgrade to RX 580 8GB. My question is, should I do this upgrade? I mean, would I see the difference between the GTX 1050 and RX 580 as for gaming? As I mentioned before, I really, really don't like my current GPU as it's not doing well in games. So I'm seriously considering to buy this RX 580 for its price is in my budget and they say its performance is not bad at all for gaming. I'm not playing AAA games like BF or Battlefront but rather, I play Apex, CS GO, maybe PUBG, Overwatch and so on. So, what say you?

Solution
Yes, the RX 580 is a LOT faster card than the GTX 1050. You can upgrade. Are you gaming on 1080p ? Your AMD CPU is not that powerful, but it should be fine with this setup though, IMO.

Yeah, my monitor is VIEWSONIC 24"VX2458-C-MHD 1MS 144HZ, its 1080p, 1920x1080. Okay then, I'm doing the update if its gonna be boosting me hugely.

you wont get max out of the card on that cpu. rx 570 4 gb would match it better
Hmm, there's a 30$ gap between two, and I honestly would like to buy the better one if it's not harmful to my PC. So I'd like to take my chance to get the max performance. But if you say that 'It would be bad for your PC if it tries to handle the RX 580' I'll reconsider.
