gtx 1050 vs 950

You should wait a bit for someone familiar with the Asian market to respond.

I also have never heard of Manli, but then I wouldn't expect to. I doubt they sell outside of China (or maybe even outside of Hong Kong)

Certainly would take a GTX 1050 over a GTX 950 for the same price. Any other options?

actuality you helped a lot
and im gona wait tell someone Recognizes that company and help me
thx again

It depends on if you want to risk waiting for the new 11 series of GPUs to come out. I’m saying this because GPUs are in stock at the moment because miners are waiting for new cards to come out + old cards to come down in price. This is your golden opportunity to buy GPUs.

There is a risk however that if you are not quick the new GPUs will go out of stock, and the older 10 and 9 series will follow them.

If I were you I’d buy the 1050 instead of the 950 now because pascal has a massive jump in terms of performance and efficiency over maxwell. It will allow for higher clocks, higher overclocks, lower temps and lower power consumption, all whilst being fast enough to last a long time until needing to upgrade.

I have had a GTX 970 strix overclocked to 1.55GHz and it is still so fast that I haven’t needed to upgrade, and your 1050 will last even longer!

even that the gtx 1050 is from a company the you have never herd about ?
http://www.manli.com/en/products/NVIDIA_Graphics_Cards/10_Series/products/95

the risk is in the company
would i chose a company like manli meanwhile i can chose msi and have no risk
this is the question that i really want an answer for !

and thx for taking a bit from your time to help i have got your idea and im goma keep it in mind
i preshade it

Apologies I didn’t notice the strange company. And yeah I’d recommend gigabyte as a go-to for graphics and asus for a close second. I have used both but usually I just go with the cheapest tbh. I wouldn’t trust anybody out of the main few (gigabyte, MSI, asus, evga etc). Gigabyte has better stability and long-lasting components, and asus has slightly better overclocking and acoustics.

Looking at the Manli product page, those cards look like budget cards with the Manli sticker on them. So if I were to buy a 1050 it would be because it was priced with the budget 1050s from EVGA or MSI or Asus. If it cost more then I wouldn't consider it. If you want something better than the budget version of the 1050 then I'd rule them out too.

Some companies in China have been known to take older nVidia cards, such as a GTX550, hack the BIOS so it identifies as a 1050, and sell them as 1050s at prices MUCH lower than the best "on sale!" prices you ever saw. If it appears too good to be true, then it probably is too good to be true!

first of all you don't have to apologize,
and yes this is the answer that I wanted , so I well go with ( gtx 950 2g from msi ) ,

THX !!

The ones you are referring to typically don't have websites or branded cards at all. They sell generic 'Nvidia' cards using cast off molds and cheap coolers. They sell on places like ebay and aliexpress.

I can't believe there are only two GPUs available in your area, but I suppose the GTX950 is a safe bet. Much slower than a GTX1050 though.

True enough, but scam tactics are ever changing. I will stand by the "too good to be true" statement as it applies to more than just GPUs

I also agree with your evaluation of the 950 v.1050!
