Hi, so basically i bought this zotac GTX 1050 (has dvi, hdmi, DP) and it doesn't have any display connections as my monitor(vga). So I decided i'll use an hdmi to vga adapter that i have been using to connect my older gpu to my vga monitor. The adapter is running fine with my integrated GPU but with the 1050 it gives me black screens and sometimes wont even show any display. Its's not the hdmi port on my gpu as i tested a direct hdmi connection on another monitor which has hdmi, so the only conclusion i have made myself is that my gpu doesnt like hdmi to vga adapters. But excepting this theory and buying a new monitor (with hdmi or dvi) isn't the smartest choice if there are other solutions, so does anyone have an idea on what might be the issue. (also the dvi on the gpu isn't the one which u can use a dvi to vga converter with)

PC Specs;
i5 3330
GTX 1050
8gb 1600mhz
(ik it a potatoe lol)

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

The easiest thing to have done was to get an DVI to VGA adapter/cable. Mind sharing a link to the adapter you're working with? As for your platform, your specs are incomplete. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:

including the age of your PSU, apart from it's make and model. Please include the BIOS version for your motherboard as well.

(also the dvi on the gpu isn't the one which u can use a dvi to vga converter with)
Elaborate, please.

so the only conclusion i have made myself is that my gpu doesnt like hdmi to vga adapters.
Or that your adapter isn't what you need or that it's faulty.

Is the GPU brand new?
