Gtx 1050ti evga 4gig SSC

Bought this card last night well the guy sold me wrong adapater to change from DVI-d to VGA...I tryed hooking it up threw HDMI my screen turns green and is fuzzy I use a 24" Vizio tv monitor little older just has VGA and 2 HDMI ports on it.. what'd be causeing this issue? I tryed with my gtx 730 with hdmi to tv as well same thing bad ports on tv? Cable is few days old help plz thanks.

Interesting. I never ran into that same issue. I have the exact same GPU.

Did you update your drivers? Use Geforce Experience to install the new display driver and than restart and see if that fixes the issue.

You need an active adapter.

I would do driver stuff updates etc. I can't right now because no way getting screen to stay on. And not green and fuzzy lol.. if I got a DVI to hdmi active adapter would it work right then?
