I just bought a GTX 1050 TI and i tried to connect it and i uninstalled all of my amd drivers beforehand then installed the nvidia drivers and nothing happened.
The fans of the 1050 wasn't spinning or active
I suspect that the problem could be my power supply that isn't giving the card enough power.

My specs:
Windows 8 Pro
CPU:Intel Core i7 2600 3.40GHz
Ram:6.00GB DDR3
Motherboard:Foxconn 2ABF
GPU:ATI RADEON HD 7500 SERIES (old card)
the power supply on my computer doesn't specify the Watts on it and the manufacturer doesn't either show the amount of watts.

i'm new to pc so i hope some of you could help me here. Thanks :)

the card works and when i start my pc up it uses my intergraded graphics instead of the card and i'm just wondering if the psu is the problem just to be sure

Also if you search the archives there seems to be a lot of complaining about your board. You might want to try to contact HP or post on their board and see what they say.

Some boards of the era were pretty locked down in terms of graphics options.

You might have to try disabling the on-board graphics or generally messing with the settings in the bios. Generally if it was a power issue, the box would just restart or catch fire.

using your integrated gpu? is your monitor connect to the 1050ti?

my monitor is connected to the 1050ti
the intergraded graphics is the cpu
it uses that instead of the 1050

i couldn't use the 1050ti i couldn't play any games and nvidia control panel didn't even work and my computer was slow with the 1050 plugged in.

but when i plugged my previous card in everything was normal.

my cousin who worked at a computer store told me that the problem might be the motherboard or the power supply.
