i just bought this brand new gtx 1050ti and installed it properly but the fans stop working after 5 second and when i go in the device manager it says Default Microsoft Graphics Card. The frame rate is extremely bad but videosignal still goes thru it.Do you know what it could be?

Solution
A lot of less power hungry cards like the gtx 1050ti do not product much heat, so many manufacturer's program the 1050ti not to run fans unless it reaches around 60 degrees C. With your 1050ti installed do you have your display cable plugged into the outputs for it and not the MB? Also have you gone to Nvidia's site and installed the latest drivers for the 1050ti?

i have 1 hdmi cable pluged into it but none in the motherboard
i installed the drivers from the provided cd

I would try to take the newest driver from Nvidia's site and see if that helps http://www.nvidia.com/download/index.aspx.

Are you running a newly installed version of Windows 10? If you do not have the anniversary update installed Windows will give you an error message about not being able to install the Nvidia driver. This site here shows you how to check if you have the update installed http://tunecomp.net/how-to-check-if-the-windows-10-anniversary-update-is-installed-or-not/

i have windows 8.1

I have the same problem, did you figure it out?
