So my ASUS-G20BM is only allowed certain graphics cards, so i decided to go with the GTX 1050 ti SC. The only problem is, I don't know where to start. I know that I need a new CPU, and a chipset, but I don't know whether or not my computer can fit the needed motherboard for the cpu, how much power supply I need and more.

My mother won't allow me to return it so this is my only chance to get into pc gaming and not be disappointed with results, much help needed. Cheers!

I agree as "clutchc" said.
r9-270 is pretty good enough, but if you insist want to change into 1050ti I doubt it'll fit into your case, and you won't get any performance bump even they are it'll be tiny.

Your best bet for an upgrade that won't be bottlenecked too badly by your CPU would be the GTX 1060 3GB or the RX-470. Just make sure the card you get only requires a single 6-pin connection. Most do.
Both cards require the same size PSU as your R9-270... 450W. Your system is a bit strange, tho. It has a dual brick PSU arrangement. But if it held the 270, it will hold the 1060 3GB or 470.
