Now that the Nvidia's new GTX 1050Ti has launched I was wondering if I should get the GTX 1050Ti rather than the GTX 1060 (6gb), it's a 130€ difference in my country. At the moment I have a GTX 750 Ti (2gb) and the games I play are:

* GTA V
* CsGo
* Rainbow six: Siege
* PlanetSide 2
* Arma 3
* CoD: Black Ops III

Also I'm trying to futureproof my PC so would the GTX 1060 be a better choice?
Also both cards are MSI's gaming X series:

* GTX 1060 GAMING X 6G
* GTX 1050TI GAMING X 4G

Solution
You should be fine with the 1060, but not sure about how good that power supply is. I would also add an SSD to your system to give it a significant speed boost.

Future proofing is pretty hard these days with all of the advances taking place, but for your question of 1050ti or 1060, I would go 1060 all day long. Yesterday many reviews got the 1050ti's and from what I saw in the reviews, the 1060 kicked the crap out of the 1050ti. If you can afford it, go with the 1060, it will be much more "future proof" than the 1050ti.

But is the extra 3gbs only for futureproofing or does it actually have an impact on games? Also does the ~100 less cuda cores affect the gameplay?

It's not necessarily about the amount of VRAM, the 1060 is just a much more powerful card. The 1060 6gb is better than the 1060 3gb because they cut down on some of the horsepower of the card, but either the 6gb or the 3gb version would do fine for 1080p gaming and both would be better than the 1050ti.

Those are two different animals(1050ti and 1060) and you can't really compare them as if they are in the same class. At 1080p gaming, the 1050ti will not deliver 60fps in all games at high/ultra settings. You'll have to settle for lower fps OR lower settings OR lower resolution, ie compromise. The 1060, both 3gb and 6gb, are 60fps 1080p high settings cards.

Whether it's 'worth' it depends on your needs. If you are a 60fps at high settings guy, the 1060 wil be worth it to you. If low cost is more important, you'll be satisfied with the 1050ti.

Future proofing isn't real. All most people mean by it is 'spend more now and hope that it pays off later'. If you can spend more now why are you even considering the cheaper card?
