Okay so my problem is that i bought a new graphics card ( Geforce GTX 1060 3gb ) and when i put it in and powered the pc on, the fans on the gpu worked the first 10 seconds when windows showed up, and then they stopped, i have 500 watt power supply, and i ordered a 700 watt now because i found out that gtx 1060 3gb needed atleast 550 watts, so have i solved the problem? I use a 6+2 cable to connect to the gpu. I dont know alot about computers but could anyone tell me if i did the right thing please?

Solution
Hey, it is completely normal. :)
I bought ASUS Dual GTX 1060 3G graphics card.
First times, it doesn't support 0dB fan function.
Later on, Asus launched BIOS update for it. This update added 0dB function to my GPU.
I used ASUS Strix RX 480 before. It always stops its fans when GPU temp below 55 degrees.
But 0dB function of Dual series card which have NVIDIA GPUs, unfortunately only works with Nvidia drivers. When Nvidia driver is active and GPU temp. is below 55 degrees, fans will not spin. But when Nvidia drivers are deactivated (restarting, turning off and switching to sleep mode the PC or when you access to BIOS-UEFI of motherboard.) fans will spin up to %100 speed.
This isn't create problems on desktop usage. But when you want to...
is the computer working?

if not did you plug in the power supply cables into the gpu?

if just ur fans are not spinning fire up and intensive task and see if they start spinning, if they dont spin when running a heavy game or benchmark then replace the card with a new one

doubt its much of a power supply issue (unless ur power supply is a generic gray one in which case it could be a problem)

I have a gtx 1060 3GB card and it does not draw 550 watts. Hell my whole system is on a 550 watt power supply. The fans don't spin till the GPU needs them that's why they start up and stop at boot. As long as your power supply is 80+ certified you will be fine with the 550 watt.

Okay guys, i am not good at explaining, but i try my best now.

My pc specs:
GTX 560
Motherboard: MSI B75MA-P45
Operating system: Windows 7 64-bit
8 GB RAM
Power supply: 500W ( 80 PLUS ) Model No: SP-SS500

And now the problem i am getting is that i recently bought a new GPU ( Geforce GTX 1060 3gb ) and the GPU i have now is the GTX 560, everything is working fine, the computer is also working, i can play games, browse the internet and so on. But when i tried to replace the gpu with my new gpu ( gtx 1060 ) and powered on the pc, i got a B2 error in the bottom right corner, so i found out that i needed to upgrade my BIOS version, so i did, then when i tried to power on my pc, it was all good, but the gpu fans were spinning the first 10 seconds and when windows logo showed up, they stopped spinning, and when i checked if the gpu was registered it did not show anything, so the gpu was not identified on my computer.
And now i did find out that i needed a new Power supply, so i did order a 700W, i still have my old GPU in my computer.

So why did my new gpu fans spin the first 5-10 seconds and then stop while not being recognized by windows.. did i do the right choice by ordering a new power supply, or do i just need to download some new drivers?

Thank you all guys for the help that i have got, i have changed the power supply to a 700 watt, everything is okay, and on monday i will change the gpu, and i will tell you guys if the problem got fixed or not :)

This isn't create problems on desktop usage. But when you want to run some tests, especially MemTest86 or something, it is really really annoying. Just use cheap older GPU with these tests.

You can recognize the first time you seated the vga card and open the windows OS. If Windows doesn't have Nvidia drivers, fans spin crazy!
Also when you update the Nvidia drivers with DDU method, fans spin again because of lacking Nvidia drivers for some time.

Nvidia drivers are active, when you see the "password screen"

Anyway, it is normal. You' ll get use to it bro. :)

Solution
CPU fan will spin aggressively for few seconds when you turn on the PC. And than it stops because, the BIOS starts controlling it.
If we accept Nvidia drivers as a BIOS, this situation is also true for some GTX 1060 powered VGA cards.

What is your VGA card brand ?

Okay guys! I got the problem fixed, needed to change my power supply, update bios and then update the driver to the newest nvidia driver.
Thank you all guys for the help that i got! :) windows also finally registers the GPU :)
