Hello, i just wondered, its been told that 6 pin connector can provide 75W. My gtx 1060 3gb says is 120W. So i read motherboard can provide 75W(Asrock z68 pro 3)and two 6pins would be 150 so 225W all together. I got daisy wire with 2x 6pins, would it be able to run gtx 1070 with 6pin and 6pin to 8 pin adaptor?I read some have 6pin and 8 pin but some may have just 8 pin? PSU 550W. I7 3770k.

Adapters are almost never recommended. What's the exact power supply here? Because 99 times out of 100, if a PSU doesn't have the proper connectors for a GPU, it means that the power supply is far too low quality to be running the GPU. Adapters are a common place for fires to start.

(Note that the flip side isn't true - while almost all PSUs without connectors are terrible, it's not the case that almost all PSUs with connectors are good).
