[SOLVED] GTX 1060 6g over heat

My graphic card been running 30c on iddle but now when i got on my computer its setting at 50c iddle I have a nice clean case in every thing..

Most people would blabber and say "The temps are fine! Enjoy the PC!". I hate that. Let me help.

I noticed after you restarted, when the fans started to spin again, the temps did go back into the lower to mid 50's. Of course those temps are fine, even if it were to be at idle. However, it is always a cause for concern.

your gpu isnt downclocking when in idle, see nvidia 3d settings for power management

This here could possibly be a problem for it, but I wouldn't think so because I have an RTX 2080 and "downclocking" never did solve the issue I had.

To make an effort of some sorts though, go ahead and give it a try:

How I fixed my thermal issues was repasting the thermal paste in my GPU. Many people do not trust that and it can potentially "unwarrant" your warranty.

You could always up the fan speeds manually. Doesn't have to be 100%, but if you don't care about the noise, then by all means...
