Hello, I bought a new PC and the GPU fan is making a very annoying noise and I'm not sure if its fan bearing thats what one person told me but I thought i'd make a thread and ask some people about it to make sure if anyone knows a possible solution or any insight what exactly it is please let me know here is a recording sample https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U2qgsa7JASQ

Solution
Sounds like the right decision to me as well. Hopefully the new card sounds better!

No I do not see a wire touching it just opened it and looked, anything else i should look for? Also when I hold the fan still the noise stops so I know its the fan if that helps

I opened it up and saw the wire i moved it a bit further away to make sure and checked all screws it seems to check out couldn't find anything out of the ordinary might just have to rma than i guess.. unless you have any otherthings to check for?

Did you try and spin the fan manually like maestro said? Like spin the fan with your finger while the PC is off to see if it makes the same noise. But yeah it sounds like a cooler issue and I'd probably RMA it.

Yes I did try and move it with my finger and it doesn't make the noise i didnt spin it fast though and i did check screws/wire etc doesnt seem that anything is there

Thats sucks, I'd RMA it. Depending on the manufacturer, (EVGA did this for me for a CLC) they will have you call technical support to trouble shoot it before you can RMA it so they could possibly solve it. Best of luck.

Okay anyway here is another video i recorded of the noise https://youtu.be/mqDrUevt04c

I just sent it back for a replacement posted it on a few other websites people just telling me to RMA it i also found someone else with the exact same issue "same noise and everything" and he RMA'd it

Sounds like the right decision to me as well. Hopefully the new card sounds better!

Solution
Yep, I just got a new GPU I'm guessing the one I originally got was defective, new one sounds good so far not even a tiny bit of noise the other one was like a tractor or something thank god its gone

Glad that was the issue and now you have a working card! Seems like Zotac has pretty good support too. Good luck with your new GPU!
