Hello guys,
I want to build a whole new rig. It is going to be a gtx 1060 6gb (don't know which mark yet) (i5 8600k or i7 7700k), Crucial Sports 16 gb 2400 mhz (2x8), z370 mobo, 650watt psu.
I am still doubting about the cpu I think that the gpu can't hold up with the i7 7700k and ill be better of with the i5 8600k

How do you guys think about it.
I also want to stream and record a little bit. I am playing 1080p.

Either one of those CPUs is more than enough for a 1060. An 8600K is better than a 7700K.

Edit: If you do go with a 7700k, you can't use a Z370 mobo.

Agree with TJ above, and when you say a little bit, how much % do you mean? Ryzen 1600 could be a good choice too if you stream regularly. What is your total budget? is monitor 60Hz or more? What games are you playing? BTW, 650 is overkill, 450+ can easily handle the rig.

The i5 8600K is lower cost and has better performance than the i7 7700K 6 real cores instead of 4 with hyper threading.
Don't worry about the video card get the processor performance you will need to upgrade the video card before the processor anyhow.

Also get faster memory 3000mhz

I have a 60 Hz monitor, and my budget is around 900-1000 euro's (1100$). I just want the 650 watt so I am 100% sure that nothing can go wrong. I will be using a gold certificate one from Corsair. And I don't know about ryzen, intel just does it better in gaming and i don't wanna go too overkill for the streaming. If I am, i want to like stream on 720p60fps

On 60 Hz, no diff between Ryzen and Coffee lake. It is hard to fit coffee lake into your budget:

Some clarification on PSU: 650 poor quality gold PSU is very likely perform worse than 450 good quality Bronze. Gold or Bronze is just efficiency, not quality. Seasonic makes very good psus. Corsair has many good models except old CX or green labeled CXM. EVGA supernova g2/g3 and above is good.

For your need plus monitor, I think Ryzen build suits you better and you can shoot for I5-8400 build when the price drops a little and MB gets cheaper. The price point is just too high atm and 7700k is not that much cheaper. Coffee lake I5/I7 > 7700k.

For 1080p ultra gaming, I have seen some benchmarks showing Ryzen is close to 8400 in many games. Just YouTube some reliable benchmark comparisons for the games you want to play. 8700k will be the best, but the cost is way too high.

I love your comments on my threads thanks for all of them, I will definitely will go for a EVGA or a Seasonic thanks for the support.
