I have replaced my old 1050 Ti with a 1060 6GB recently but having issues.
My desktop restarts when it is on 100% load, sometimes after 1-2 minutes but sometimes it keeps up to 10 mins.

My setup is:
  • Mobo: AsRock H370M
  • CPU: Intel i3 8100
  • RAM: 2x4GB G.Skill Ripjaws V 2400MHz
  • PSU: 850W Corsair TX850M
The PSU has been bought fresh as I had a Corsair 450W originally, had the same restarts and tought it was due to unsufficient power.
Nvidia driver is also fresh, tried DDU a couple of times. Had MSI Afterburner reinstalled so everything is back to defaults. Also tried monitoring it GPU-Z.

From the GPU-Z logs I can see the following (befrore failing -> when it starts fo fail)
  • core clock: 1885MHz -> 1506MHz
  • mem clock: 1901MHz all the way
  • temp: 67C -> keeps dropping continuously
  • gpu load: 100% -> 0%
  • memory controller load: 100% -> 1%
  • bus interface load: 0% -> 12%
  • board power draw: 99,5W -> 26,3W
  • GPU chip power draw: 58,6W -> 5,6W
  • PCIe slot power: 60,3W -> 22W
  • 6-pin power: 39W -> 3,8W
  • power consumption: 83% -> 22%
  • PerfCap reason: 4 (VRel) -> 16 (Util)
Thank you for any help and suggestion inadvance, please let me know if you need any more info.

you said it used to happen at your old psu and still happens in the new one right?
try the gpu in another pc see if it happens, if it doesnt then its not the GPU.

Happened to me once, replaced every component with new one except for mobo cuz the company wasnt replacing the mobo but just checking it and sending it back.

then i got a new motherboard it never happened again.

maybe same will work for u.
