Hi, I have a low spec of desktop:

i7-2700
Corsair vengeance 8gb
Gtx 960 2gb
... And running on dual 1080p monitor

I plan to buy 1070 because I want to upgrade 1 of my monitor to 1440p though can I still use one of my 1080p monitor for dual monitor thingy without affecting the performance of 1070?

If I cant afford the gtx 1070 i might stuck to 1080 gaming again for the next few years :(

Keeping power requirements aside, you will eventually need to upgrade your system. For now with what you currently have, you're good with a GTX1060 6GB. If you are able to upgrade past your Sandy Bridge system, in a few short months, then you can invest in the GTX1070 off the bat. What is the make and model of your PSU and how old is it?
