GTX 1060(6GB) or RX 480(4/8GB) [Costs included]

Hey guys,

I am looking to upgrade my R9 270x. I will just go ahead and mention the prices of the cards:

Zotac Gtx 1060 mini(6GB) -21k
Gigabyte Rx 480(4Gb)-19k
Gigabyte Rx 480(8GB)-23.5k

I know Rx 480 and gtx 1060 cards are almost equal. So i want you guys to help me decide which card i should buy based on the prices. I am looking to play on 1080p(aiming for 60FPS) only for at least a couple of years. Rx 480 (4Gb) is the cheapest and supposedly(did some reading) more future proof than GTX 1060. But again its the 4Gb version which gives slightly less performance than the 8GB version and most of the games perform better on 1060 currently.
Also. I can definitely change or upgrade card in 2 years. So which one should i go with?

P.S: I didnt include GTX 1060 3GB as the Vram might be a problem isnt it, though its much cheaper than the above mentioned? Watchdogs 2 itself requires around 4GB Vram on Ultra.

ummm have you seen the benchmarks recently?? the 480 is a no brainier right now, its pretty much tied with 1060 in dx11 and has a good lead over it in dx12

rx 480 4GB or 8GB? As theres a 2k price difference between the gtx 1060 6GB and Rx 480 8GB

You should go with the 8 GB 480 for future proofing
