Was wondering if the ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 6GB DUAL OC is compatible with my msi z97-g43 motherboard and my corsair rm 650w psu.

My current gpu uses 2 8 pins connectors and the 1060 has only a one 6 pin connector. :)

Solution
Compatibility between motherboards and graphics cards is almost never a problem; as long as it fits, it should work. What would be a problem in this case is whether your PSU can power the card properly; with 650W, it should be more than enough.

TL;DR Yes, the 1060 is compatible.
