Hello guys. I want to upgrade GPU on my old PC. Current build:
  • CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1045T Processor 3.2 GHz
  • Memory: DDR3 16 GB 1333 MHz
  • Motherboard: 760GM-P21(FX) (MS-7641)
Wanted GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 Windforce.

Will the new GPU work in this setup? I know that the processor is weak for this GPU, but it will be used in the future. But I can consider other options.

Solution
1. Does your power supply have the needed VGA connectors and is it large enough in wattage?

2. That is a legacy BIOS which means it may or may not work but I can pull up benchmarks of other people using 1000 series cards and beyond with it.

760GM-P21(FX) (MS-7641)

If you input Phenom II X6 1045T into the search you will come up with over 2500+ benchmarks from 2 years to 2 months old.
