I want to buy a MSI GTX 1060 6Gb and replace my current GPU: Asus Radeon HD 7870 2Gb (DirectCuII).

I have two concerns about it:
the main one is connecting it to a Dell U2515H because right now it's connected via mini displayport (so it can run @1440p 60hz), which isn't present in GTX 1060 - there are 3 usual displayports, HDMI and DVI.
I've looked over different versions of hdmi and displayport and it seems that usual displayport will work fine, but I want to be 100% sure before buying the card.

So, if it should work then I have to just buy a DP-DP cable? Are all versions gonna work at 1440p 60hz, or I should look for a specific DP version?

My second concern is will my overclocked i7 920 @3.4Ghz bottleneck the card in games and if yes then how much? I've been looking online at benchmarks and game comparisons between overclocked i7 920 and newer CPUs and I think it should be fine. Am I right here?

Solution
The card will not have issues outputting 1440P at 60hz over DVI, HDMI, Display Port and HDMI, And if you have to use Mini Display port, they sell adapters to convert it to the standard display port.

Also with your 920 at 3.4ghz you should be fine, the 920 still a good CPU for pretty much any single GPU systems.

Thank you for your answer! I bought a MSI GTX 1060 6G couple days ago and everything works great!
Both screens work fine (had to buy other VGA-HDMI adapter for my vga monitor though) and my CPU is well enough for this card, it doesn't exceed CPU usage higher than 60-70% in any latest games.
