Hi there guys and gals I'm facing some issues with my computer heres context : I was playing some games with my buddy and had to restart my PC I did so and on boot it kept freezing and just restarting during of which it said "installing update" and also "configuring update" and when I finally got to desktop it would work for few seconds then BSOD with following message : VIDEO TDR FAILURE
Nviddtkm. Sys

I tried using ddu utility and completely clearing install it would work fine without a driver and then as soon as I'd install a fresh driver it would crash again constantly in safe mode it works fine I'm just wondering what could cause this and is there a possible fix?
Any help is appreciated

Ps the specs are : GTX 1060 6GB
i5 4650

What power supply is in this system?

Do you regularly clean the PC and monitor temps?

Have you ever broken down the graphics card to clean/repaste/repad?

I would off the top call this a sign of an almost dead card. Unless you were planning on an upgrade to the base system soon I would not recommend going too far up the upgrade ladder but a decent used 1080/20xx, maybe something like a 580/or later 5x00 skew card depending on your current power supply.

Given a system of that age, where it may not rectify the current issue, but have you performed a clean install of OS on that any time in the near past? I don't specifically think that would cause this issue, but worth mentioning.
