gtx 1060 driver not installing in windows 10

When i try to install gtx 1060 drivers ver372 for windows 10 x64..it says it is not compatible with this version of windows
I have a 64bit windows 10 os..and an msi gtx 1060..
please help...

Here's a quote from the EVGA forum too.

If you receive this message, your Windows 10 version needs to be at least build version 1511 to use current Nvidia drivers. To see what version of Windows you are currently using, type "winver" (without the quotes) in the search bar. If you have an earlier version of Widnows,run Windows Update and install any updates that need to be installed. Once Windows has been fully updated, you should be able to install the Nvidia drivers without issue. If you still are unable, you will need to run a manual update as outlined here:
