Question GTX 1060 GDDR5X vs GTX 1660 GDDR5

Hello, I want to buy one of these gpus but I dont know which one. I know that the 1660 ti is a better option but it costs a 100 euros more in my country. BTW I need it for gaming.

The GTX 1660Ti model is having GDDR6 as the memory type. Which card you want to buy ? Is it for 1080p/60Hz ?

I want to buy either GTX 1060 GDDR5X or GTX 1660 non ti because ti version costs a 100 euros more. I play on 1366x768 resolution 60hz monitor.

To be honest, for that resolution monitor, I would think either graphics card is sufficient for most if not all modern games.

Not sure about the case. Raidmax RX-700AC-B 700w PSU. FX 8370. 16GB DDR3.

First off, get rid of that RAIDMAX PSU. AVOID using this power supply. This is a poor/low quality power supply, low-end. Most of the raidmax power supplies are really unreliable, so don't take any risk. Not recommended for gaming PCs. They have had a very bad reputation in the past.

That PSU is not very good quality, in fact, Raidmax is generally known as a very bad manufacturer of PC power supplies. I would consider upgrading it.
As long as prices are roughly close, I would buy a GTX 1660 since it is newer and performs better. If the case is of decent size it will work.

Ok thanks, I will change the PSU as soon as I can and yes the case is large enough for both of the cards.

I play on 1366x768 resolution 60hz monitor.

Then grab the GTX 1060 or the 1650. On this screen resolution you won't be needing a very powerful GPU. You might also save 100 Euros as well, if you get the 1060. Even other mid-range GPUs might work on this screen resolution.

Even something like an RX 570 or GTX 1650 is plenty for 768p. If they're meaningfully cheaper than a 1060 you could save yourself even more money.

If you have plans to go 1080p in the future, the 1660 is perfect. However in your resolution, something much cheaper would work like a charm.
