I just bought a gtx 1060 super locked and I noticed it need an additional power supply to reach its full potential..... come to find out I checked my PSU and I don't have the right pin connectors I believe, I'm kinda lost.... I'm going to provide pictures to help with the details. On the side of my psu it has I believe a pin connector, 2 of them. From the graphics card it has a 6 pin female which a 6 pin male goes into.... where does the other end of the 6 pin pci cord go? My PSU is a antec hcg 620m

You need to either have the "male" pin connected to your PSU or you need to use adapters from mulex to 6 pin. Or get a new PSU. Getting a new PSU is generally the best option. The mulex is the one with 4 bigger pins that we used to use for hard disks. But you still need an adapter or something for that.

Your antec hcg 620m is a fine psu and is capable of running your GTX1060 or even a GTX1080ti.

What you have is a modular psu.
That means that cables are optional. and only needed to power installed parts like the GTX1060.

There is an instruction manual or diagram ... read it.
Here is a link..

One end of a cable, probably labeled pcie will go into the graphics card, and the other end into the psu.

On the back of the psu are two 10 pin red receptacles.
One end of your graphics card cable will go into one of these.
At the other end of the cable will be a 6 + 2 pcie male plug.
For a 6 pin plug, use only the 6 pin part, and leave the +2 dangling.

Power plugs are keyed to only fit one way. Do not force anything.

Yeah but I don't have a connector that's 10 pin to plug into the psu.... the gtx 1060 has a 6 pin connector that I connected a 6 pin pcie cable to it.... the other end of the cable though isn't a 10 pin

Did you buy this psu new?

These are the cables that should have come with the psu.
Note that there are two cables with 10 pin red ends that plug into the similar red ports on the psu.

Didn't buy the psu new but I did notice that.... I was thinking of buying the cable... but I tried reinstalling my 750 again and I get a black screen, nothing showing up at all
