Question GTX 1060 mystery stutter

I bought a new ssd, and had this one guy install it on my build (could've done it myself, but circumstances demanded it), also give my pc a proper cleaning. With the SSD being installed, all of the drive letters had been rearranged by the guy and such, but no matter, I replace all the broken filepaths and that's it.

Until I tried to play games.

Other than Terraria, which I assume is a game that's too non-demanding to lag, every game so far suddenly had some ghastly fps averages. Total War Warhammer 2 manages to lag in the campaign selection screen!

To get to the bottom of it, I ran userbenchmark. For some reason it failed to complete, but the incomplete page still showed my integrated and dedicated graphics' performance, respectively, as "terrible" and "poor". Although, my second monitor, which is running on the onboard intel graphics, strangely seemed to be able to display a less stuttery image during the bench - although it was said to have produced lower fps than my main monitor, which is hooked to the 1060.

From there, I tried downloading new drivers, checking vsync settings, but predictably it was all in vain. I have no clue what could be wrong with my system. I would really appreciate any help.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Seems like the guy did a clone of the OS and just migrated the files onto SSD. You should've installed the OS from scratch. We will also need a little more information. Please list your full system's specs like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

Include the age of the PSU and the version of your OS(assuming you're on Windows 10).

Hello! Sorry if I'm too late in replying.

CPU: I5 7400
Mobo: ASUS H-110M
RAM: Crucial Ballistix 1x8GB, running at 2400 mhz
SSDs: Seagate Maxtor Z1 480 GB, Kingston SA400S37240G 240 GB
HDD: Toshiba (couldn't fetch you the exact serial number right now - it's disabled in my system, if necessary I can restart it and enable in the bios).
GPU: GTX 1060 6GB VRAM
PSU: Thermaltake 500w SP500AH2NKW - about 3 years old now
Chassis: Not sure, only remember it being an Aerocool one.
OS: Windows 10.

Also, i should've clarified in the previous post: what happened is that I previously owned both a 1TB HDD and a 240 GB SSD. The HDD was running extremely slow no matter what I did or how much space I cleared - on the other hand, the SSD was fast and stable. I reached a point where my HDD was basically useless, so I shrunk my partition and cloned the OS over myself - I realize it's definitely not the best approach, however. So I buy the 480 GB Maxtor, hand my pc over to the guy. He cleans it, and installs the SSD (although he did not remove the HDD as requested, but no big deal). Performance in games was fine before, now anything post the mid 2000s will give my gfx card a seizure. Even trivial things like picture in picture in menus.
