GTX 1060 not showing up

I just bought a new GTX 1060 and put it in my PC, the lights on the GPU are lit up but my PC won't detect it in GPU-Z, CPU-Z and the NVIDIA driver download won't detect it. Can anyone help?

Motherboard, otherwise it says No signal

Well that’s a problem as it must be plugged into the gpu. By using the motherboard you are using integrated graphics and the gpu is automatically disabled.

Have you connected the gpu’s power socket to your psu?

My GPU appears now but it's not actually working. I started up H1Z1 (Battle Royale game) and I'm getting 13 fps. Any way to check if it's working?
