Hi guys, i bought a EVGA gtx 1060 paired with i7 4790k. The clock speeds never going beyond the 732mhz core and 850mhz memory , what may be the problem?

Yeah i already set that , if i connect my secondary PSU(350w) seperately for GPU, when i start the game, Display turns off but fan runs at extreme speed, but if i disconnect the secondary psu and connect with only 450w psu, game starts but runs slowly

okiee, thank you very much

Using two PSUs is rare, however these two PSU have plenty of power for a GTX 1060. The GTX 1060 is only 120Watts. Do you have a ref saying WHY you think the strange system of two PSUs is a problem ? Here is a ref showing GTX1060 is 120W http://www.geforce.com/hardware/10series/geforce-gtx-1060

(I am not a fan of the two PSUs. The PSU you ref is a good one. I'd just like to understand how you concluded that " Those PSUs are not capable of running the GTX 1060. " so the OP knows WHY they are buying a new PSU.

oh okiee

Can you post your PCs full specs ?

The 350W PSU is close to supplying your PC all by itself.
120W for gtx 160 (not OC'd)
88W for i7 4790k (not OC'd)
25-50W for rest of PC.

Maybe swap the 450 and the 350 and see if the system is OK.

Strongly agree with GamerBoy that a bad 450W PSU can give bad voltage as low as 200W or less. It's not a bad idea to swap in a better PSU. The seasonic is not a bad one, that is the only brand I know use.
