GTX 1060 very low fps

Hi!

I recently got myself an asus gtx 1060 6gb strix graphics card. Everything i play has been running smoothly except for a few games, for example world of warcraft is constantly below 60 fps even when i have literally everything set on low. This is strange considering i do have 8gb ram, a quad core intel i7 3.5 GHz processor and of course the gpu.

So i ask this, what could be the cause of this?

V-sync on?
Nvidia/gforce experience maybe over-riding the games settings? Do you see a difference switching from low to ultra?
