I have Gtx 1070 and 1080p monitor.
I am using windows 7 with dx11.Dx11 is written to maximum 4GB Vram.

My question is.
If I fresh install win10 with dx12 and leave all settings for Witcher 3 and other games.
Will the msi gtx 1070 Gaming X benefit from double Vram on 1080p monitor.
The most thing that I am intrested in is graphic card temperature. Now I am on 72 Celsia maximum value.
Is graphic card less stressed when she can use 8GB VRAM or is the result the same like with 4 GB VRAM.
Will the card really benefit from this double amount of VRAM even if the game use the same amount of memory in win7 and then win10. Is it the reason worth for installing windows10 only for dx12?

Msi gtx1070 gaming X
1080p monitor
AMD fx8370
16 GB DDR3 Ram
motherboard Gigabyte 970A-DS3P

Win 7 x86 (if that is what you have?) is limited to being able to address 4GB system RAM max. That has nothing to do with a gfx card's VRAM. A gfx card's VRAM is independent of system RAM. So, your GTX 1070 will be able to address all of its VRAM. But keep in mind, the card will only use as much VRAM as it needs at any given time. It may never use all 8GB, or even over 4GB.
