GTX 1070 8gb card with a i5 2500k?

Hi guys, I have been doing some research to try to upgrade either my graphics card, which is currently a Nvidia GTX 950, or my processor, an intel i5-2500K 3.30ghz.
I only have the money for one purchase and was planning on getting an Nvidia GTX 1070 SC, but then thought I might have some bottlenecking issues. Please give me some reccomendations on what I should do and give me more info.

What do you plan to do with your rig? gaming? at what resolution/desired framerate? You need to provide more details on what you plan to do, or what expectations do you have.

Long as you have 16GB's of RAM your i5 should be fast enough. If you have a z motherboard get a good cryorig H7 and OC a bit. At 3.6~3.8Ghz should give that old CPU new life.

The GPU upgrade will be massive but CPU not so. Go for the 1070 it will still be good 1-2 years later for platform upgrade. Just make sure you have good enough PSU.

With the information you provided, I'd say the GPU. Please list your full specs, including the manufacturer and model number of your power supply. Also list your resolution and FPS of you monitor. And lastly name three games that you'll be focusing on.

Sorry guys, I forgot I had this post up, but I went into a bit more research afterwards and got the 1070 SC. Thank you guys for the help anyways and I will be upgrading my CPU soon too!!!!
