Hello everyone , i want to buy a gtx 1070, but i'm not sure if my motherboard is compatibile with it and if my power source can handle it

My motherboard is http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3882#ov i currently have a gtx 960.

And my power source is either Gygabite Superb 720w or E720w i am not certain.

Before the 960 i had a gtx 570 which i noticed that in specification it eats more power than a 1070w

Solution

One of these two.Depends on the price as well,if the Superflower is much higher in price is the Corsair a decent choice,if not would i choose the Superflower.

Me advicing upgrading has mostly to do with the age of the current psu, wattage wise is it probably not strained in the past so possibly could go on for a few years. It has enough protections so it should not take the system with it when failing in time.
That motherboard should run a 1070 just fine. It's the power supply I'm worried about, not because the wattage isn't enough, but because of the brand. I haven't heard anything about Gigabyte power supplies, only their fantastic motherboards.

Mmm thank you for your answers guys which one from those power sources i should choose?which is the best choice?

Thank you, if u dont mind telling me your opinion about these PSU are they as good as the superflower one

I calculated my Wattage consumption with partpicker website and it shows 388w consumption, so a 500w psu can still hold the system right?
