[SOLVED] Gtx 1070 fans loud

Just installed gtx 1070, and wanted to know if it's ok that the fans are pretty loud. I had a measly 1050 before and it was almost silent. The 1070, however, is very loud. I could care less about the sound, I just want to know if it's ok spinning that loud?

It's not ok unless you run it constantly at max usage. First thing that comes to mind is that it's not seated properly in the PCIe slot. Afterwards driver issue/ power issue. What is the exact make and model of your PSU?
It can also be thermal issues if the thermal paste has dried out but let's leave it as the last resort for now.

• Reseat the card in the PCIe slot
• Make sure all the appropriate power cables are connected to the GPU

The fans should adjust speed depending on the load and cooling required. You can use a program like MSI Afterburner or EVGA Precision to adjust fan curves. Also I would do a clean install of the drivers.
