Gtx 1070 fans not spinning?

Hello everyone

Just now i powered on my new build and i got a red light in the mobo on the vga spot and i got this message on screen
CPU or Memory changed!!! Please enter setup to configure your system.
Press F1 to run setup.
Press F2 to load default values and continue.

I entered setup and everything seems to be normal..i mean it detected the memories and cpu,the lights on the gpu are on but the fans are not spinning..
After exiting it rebooted,red light on the mobo gone and its waitining for a bootable device for os i guess.
Is all of this normal and i should continue??

Cpu i7 6700k
Gpu MSI gtx 1070
Memories G.skill ripjaws 3200
Dont think the rest are relevant?

That sounds normal. The fans won't start spinning until the gpu reaches 60c under load.

Have you checked the temperature? These cards run quite cold in idle states or on low use. As krells said, they turn on when they hit 60 degrees celsius.

Didnt check the temp internally as i dont know how to do it throught the bios,after 30 min touching the backplate seems kinda hot-ish but then i dont know what it means 60 degrees from its perspective..
Guess il install os and then check

uhm i just pulled out the card and reinstalled it and after powering on again the fans started spining..dunno what the hell,it didnt seat correctly?And if so why where its leds all working?

I would install the OS and the latest Nvidia drivers from their site. The fans shouldn't spin at idle, unless you have the blower style cooler.

Yes im halfway through the os,the fans did stop so i guess you are right and il have to stress it up when im done to see temps and fans.

Mine is doing this same thing. Just built it. Fan comes on at start up but stops as soon as start up is complete. The temp got up to 81c, I got a warning....but the only way I can get the fan to spin is in MSi Gaming App Cooler Boost. Once I do that, the fan runs, then the cooler boost button goes disabled.
