Hello, I purchased a 1070 from Nvidia about 6 months ago and I started getting problems with it about 3 months ago, The gpu usage is going to 0% often and I contacted nvidia about 3 weeks ago and they told me to download old drivers to see if the problem went away but it didn't. The gpu goes from 99% in a game to 0%, the image freezes for about 4 sec. I was monitoring the temperatures and the 1070 never went above 75 C when I had the fan running at 65%, what should i do ?

Never seen a card do that before.

Just to make sure, or at least try to fathom out what is going on with the GTX 1070 card.
Download and install something like Gpuz.

Install it, and set it to log temperatures, and clock speeds of the Gpu and memory on the card as well as the Gpu temps.
So you can look at the text file to see if the Gpu`s core clock speed is reducing, and the memory frequency also.

Run the test a few times to see if the problem happens after a fixed time each time any game is started.

Tally it also up to what temp of the gpu reaches each time it usage goes to 0%.

I presume after the four seconds of freezing you get an error message about the Nvidia video driver re setting it`s self or the system exiting the game and returning to windows desktop.

Well the game freezes and then resumes, it goes from 0% to 75% and then it goes to 99% as usual and then it repeats.
