hi name is ray hope this is not a dupe. no signal on my 79 inch lg 4k uhtv via hi spd 2.0 hdmi ca. ok when hooked up to my 24 inch 1080p monitor. this is a upgrade to my gt740 which works great on any of my UHDTV and monitor. any help would be appreciated. so far nvidia corporation tech support can not seam to find a answer. update do not know what i did but now my 4k will try to connect then stops i get asus bios screen for 1.5 seconds then windows 10 screen appears wheel spins for a few seconds then shuts now results no signal connection

did you make sure your new screen is set to PC mode?




did you uninstall the drivers before putting in the new card?

yes although my gt740 had the same current driver version as my gtx 1070 FE 376.19 I did complete uninstall of nvidia gefore folders files. I wanted a clean install.

corsair rm650 gold plus 80. as I mention after fighting several days and hours I got my1080p monitor to work awesome full 1080p @ 60hz. use hi speed hdmi cables on all my hdmi 2.0 equipment. just got done with another chat with nvîdia corporation tech dept USA useless as ever. although it took me 5 days and many hours myself and getting my 1080p monitor working great and almost getting my 4k monitor to connect their saying now it must be hardware problem need to replace. hopefully I can send back to USA and get refund. I live in Thailand . in the meantime I am going to buy 3rd party gigabyte like my gt740 with my local man.

holding off buying different gtx 1070. with my 3yr warranty, my dealer will have it tested most likely not they will send another. as I said once I got my 1080p monitor responsive this GPU is awesome. will update here when my replacement comes.

I finally solved my 4K problem. last month and this month I was troubleshooting at my PC and the gpus because of my 4K using HDMI #1 port was working fine just for the hell of it I went to HDMI #3 port and amazingly It works in PC mode. I am so happy. my replacent s a Asus Rôg Strix Geforce GTX1070-08-Gaming and it has 2 HDMI ports.
